Coordinator sets the geofences
When a rally is activated, MotoTracker automatically pushes every waypoint to the GPS tracking server as a circular geofence — centred on the waypoint's exact GPS coordinates with a configurable radius.
Your device reports position
Your GPS tracker runs silently in the background, sending location updates to the tracking server. No battery-draining app polling. The hardware does the work while you focus on the road.
Geofence entry triggers instant credit
The moment your device enters the geofence, the server fires an event to MotoTracker. Your participation is validated, the waypoint hit is recorded, and your leaderboard position updates — typically within 5 seconds.

Configurable radius
Coordinators set the geofence size per waypoint. Tight 50 m circles for precise urban checkpoints, wider tolerances for open rural waypoints on fast roads.
Rally window enforcement
GPS hits are only credited within the official rally start and end times. No pre-riding the route. No farming waypoints before or after the event.
Duplicate protection
The database enforces a unique constraint per rider, ride, and waypoint. Riding past the same point twice — or a server retry — cannot double-credit you.
Standard hardware compatible
Works with any GPS tracker that supports the OsmAnd HTTP protocol. The TK103-B and similar devices are tested and confirmed. No proprietary hardware lock-in.
No coordinator overhead
Once a rally is active, GPS crediting is fully automated. Coordinators see live hits on their dashboard — they don't need to approve or action anything.
